The Speed of Demand and Supply Blog

Waltz Brothers, Inc. is a provider of precision machined and ground components and sub-assemblies to meet a broad spectrum of industrial needs, from aerospace to automotive, medical to military. The nature of the product they produce is very complex following a wide array of machining operations and numerous outsourced processing steps.

Waltz engaged our services for a 6 month lean implementation initiative that ended up encompassing all facets or their organization including order entry, scheduling, purchasing, IT, and production.  I will let Mr. Waltz's explain the impact in his own words:

Dear Ara,

Our entire team here at Waltz Brothers would like to thank you for the time you've dedicated over the last 6 months "teaching" us how to improve our company's overall performance.

In my 40 years in business I have always been receptive to change, but I never dreamed that we would incorporate so many changes, in so many areas, in such a short period of time, and without any major disruption to production.

Through your efforts we have learned how to best manage the flow of our products. All of our metrics now show positive trends. Our sales volume is up, our work in progress inventory has been significantly reduced, our delivery performance is approaching 100% on time, and the quality of our products has improved across the board.

All of these improvements are fantastic, but the more significant improvement is that our Sales Revenues Per Employee has increased by a whopping 24% in just six months.

That's amazing!!!

What started out (in my mind) as a basic consulting contract to introduce Lean techniques for manufacturing has resulted in huge benefits throughout our entire organization.

I am thankful that we had the opportunity to work together, and will look to recommend your services wherever possible.

Please encourage anyone considering your services to give me a call.

Best regards,

Larry Waltz
President
Waltz Brothers, Inc.
